German tuning firm Tuningwerk has worked its magic on the BMW M235i Racing. The tuning firm adds a carbon fiber body kit that includes a front lip spoiler, a rear diffuser and a big rear spoiler. Mechanically the car gets high-performance brakes, an improved cooling system and 18-inch forged wheels shod with Dunlop SportMaxx RT tyres.
Inside the cabin the car gets Recaro seats, carbon fiber trim and a sport steering wheel, with buyers also getting an option of a roll cage, and six-point harness.
The addition doesn’t stop with body kits, the 3.0-litre TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine has been tweaked to produce 437bhp and 600Nm of torque. The power figure is about 108bhp more than the engine in the standard M235i Racing makes. The engine gets changes like a new aluminum oil pan and a sports exhaust system among other things. All the power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.
The BMW M235i RS’ price starts from €65,000 (Rs 53 lakh). The Bavarian car maker hasn’t confirmed anything but might soon launch the saner roadgoing variants of the 2-Series in India.
