Toyota has announced that its official used car business, the Toyota U-Trust, is now spread over 56 markets in 19 states in India. While U-Trust had started off with just two outlets back in 2007, its network has now grown to 77 outlets, helping it cater to a wide set of audience across the country.
Toyota had set up U-Trust to help facilitate purchase and sale of passenger vehicles in India. Like the other used car businesses in the country, Toyota U-Trust also has options for exchange of used vehicles and deals in both Toyota and non-Toyota vehicles. All cars sold through U-Trust are thoroughly inspected with a comprehensive 203 point inspection check sheet. Certified cars get a warranty of 2 years and 30,000 kilometres from Toyota.
Toyota claims that the U-Trust was set up with the aim of introducing fair and transparent practices in the used car business. With India’s new car business witnessing a substantial growth since the past few months, the used car industry is also experiencing a steady increase in demand. Initiatives like these not only offer a single platform for customers to sell and buy cars, but also help instil confidence in used car buyers.
Speaking about the expansion, Mr N. Raja, director and Sr. VP, marketing and sales, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, “With the expansion of Toyota U-Trust we are now equipped to provide quality cars, convenience, transparency and value for money to every customer on a much wider scale. Also with our trained technicians and offers of best in industry Warranty and Certification along with refurbishment of cars with Toyota genuine parts, we ensure the delivery of best quality used cars.”
