One of our favourite sports cars of the modern era – the Toyota GT86, has just been made a little bit better. The Japanese automaker has announced a refreshed line-up and styling changes for the sporty, rear-wheel drive coupe.
Globally the GT86 now features new wheels design and new colours, with the range-topping Aero model running on gloss black 18-inch wheels. In keeping with customer preference, Toyota has announced that the Aero model is now available only with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Meanwhile, the entry-level Primo model benefits from a price cut of around £300 (Rs 29,600). Pricing for the rest of the range, however, remains unchanged. What has not changed, though, is the fundamentally brilliant dynamic package. The GT86 retains its naturally aspirated 2-litre boxer engine, low centre of gravity, rear-wheel drive and a well-balanced chassis.
Along with these updates, there will also be a new special edition model which will be joining the range by August this year. Toyota has announced that the details of the special edition model will be announced soon.
