Toyota in Indonesia seems to be feeling the heat from the Honda BR-V, and after introducing the Daihatsu Terios custom has shifted focus to upgrading its Toyota Rush.
Toyota revealed its intentions of introducing the updated Rush with enhanced features and sources say that the event in Jakarta is expected to be held around the 26th of February. Upgrades to the Toyota Rush include the introduction of the seven seat configuration, and the expansion of the line up by two more variants. There will now be a new TRD Sportivo seven-seater variant and a top of the line TRD Sportivo Ultimo. While both variants will come fitted with the altered TRD Sportivo suspension, the Ultimo variant will come with the unique TRD alloy wheel. The upgraded variants of the Rush will also get a red strip above the grille and unique decals on the waist line.
"TRD Sportivo and TRD Sportivo Ultimo will soon be on the Toyota Rush’s latest line up and will provide a complete selection for customers in sight of a sportier lifestyle," said Henry Tanoto, Vice President and Director, Toyota Indonesia.
