In an attempt to drive sales figures up of the Etios and Liva, Toyota has adopted a tried-and-tested formula by outfitting them with beige interiors. This move is the second change that the Japanese automaker has made to the duo’s interiors. It had revealed a grey colour scheme during the 2012 Auto Expo in January.
It has made the changes after getting feedback from its customers over the grey interiors. This move is expected to give the Etios and the Liva a premium up market feel and create a perception of an airy and more spacious cabin. Our sources also confirm that the beige interiors will only come on the VX variants.
Despite being offered with very efficient diesel engines and Toyota’s various efforts, like the revised interiors and Etios motor racing, to boost their sales, the Etios and the Liva have not sold too well. Hopefully this move should see a change in their fortunes.
