Toyota has announced their plans for the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show. The Japanese carmaker will introduce two new vehicles at the Frankfurt stage. The next generation Land Cruiser will make its world premiere alongside the C-HR Hy-Power hybrid concept.
The Japanese giant has officially teased only the front grille of C-HR hybrid concept. Very few details about the hybrid crossover are available right now. But Toyota says that the new C-HR Hy-Power design study is developed by European Design Centre (ED2). It will showcase the C-HR’s handsome styling while “hinting at future expansion of Toyota’s hybrid powertrain line up within its core models”.
The Land Cruiser, on the other hand, will enter into a new generation. The current generation Land Cruiser has been around for a decade now and is in dire need of a replacement. Toyota assures that the new-gen LC will stick to its body-on-frame architecture since it has been around for the last 65 years. Emphasising on the LC’s capability, Toyota boasts that “the new Land Cruiser will take you wherever you want to go. And bring you back.”
Apart from these two new models, the Toyota stand will have two more highlights. The Yaris GRMN hot hatch will be showcased alongside the new Auris Touring Sport ‘Freestyle’. The Freestyle package will bring personalisation features to the Auris line-up.
The Frankfurt Auto Show opens its gates on 12 September. CarWale will be there to bring you all the exclusive coverage from the German motor show. So, stay tuned.
