- Supply of Toyota and Suzuki models from India to Africa and other markets
Back in February 2018, Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) and Suzuki Motor Corporation (Suzuki) had concluded a memorandum of understanding toward business partnership. Back then, both the companies indicated their collaborative plans to pursue concrete forms of cooperation and mutually supply the vehicles in the Indian market. This time around, both the companies have agreed to start discussing new joint projects in the fields of technological development, vehicle production, and market development.
Discussions involve Denso Corporation and Toyota’s plans to provide Suzuki with technological support to develop compact, ultrahigh-efficiency powertrains. Moreover, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Ltd. (TKM) will produce models developed by Suzuki for sale in India through each of the Toyota and Suzuki brand network. The fresh round of discussion will also include supply of Toyota and Suzuki models from India to Africa and other markets. Sales network and logistics will be provided by both the companies.
