-New generation for Toyota’s full size sedan
-Now underpinned by TNGA platform
-Expected to be locally assembled
Toyota’s big sedan is returning to the Indian shores in a hybrid guise early next year and ahead of the Camry’s arrival, the Japanese automaker has released a second teaser for the car. The video showcases some of the design highlights of the car including the headlamps, wheels and an eco-gauge for the hybrid system.
This new generation Camry was showcased for the Thai market (where Toyota has a major presence) in October. We’ve spoken in detail about the car already during its unveiling and you can read about that here. Only the hybrid version is expected to come to India and it’s likely that Toyota will locally assemble the car to keep costs in check.
This is Toyota big sedan and will take on the likes of the Volkswagen Passat, Skoda Superb, Honda Accord Hybrid. There could also be future models from Hyundai, Kia and MG Motor over the next two years to take on the Camry Hybrid.
