To mark the milestone of 400,000 units of the Innova being sold, Toyota may launch a limited Chrome edition for its GX petrol and a diesel variant. The Innova was first launched in 2005, and has been Toyota’s most successful model ever since. The MPV got a facelift in the middle of 2011.
The chrome kit, when launched will be fitted at dealer level and will be available as an accessory pack for Rs 31,000. The kit will add chrome touches to the front grille, the wheel arches, door handles, turn indicators and inserts on the wing mirrors, and the hatch lids.
A number of the features that are available on the kit can be fitted to the top VX versions as well which available at Rs 13.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)for the petrol and Rs 14.42 lakh for the diesel model. The GX petrol version is currently on sale for Rs 11.58 lakh and the corresponding diesel at Rs 12.41 lakh.
