Toyota has no plans to launch new products in India this year. Instead the company will be focusing on developing the existing models – mainly the Etios sedan and Liva hatchback. The entry-level twins are expected to receive a minor facelift along with a new 1.5-litre petrol engine option for hatchback the later this month.
The updated versions of the Etios and Liva have started arriving at the Toyota showrooms. The facelifted models will get revised headlamps and tail lamps, along with few changes to the interiors. Both the cars are also expected to get few additional features including a new music system with Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity.
The 1.5-litre petrol engine currently powering the Etios develops 90bhp and 132Nm. This engine option will certainly make the Liva livelier, but then it won’t be classified as a small car and the prices will go up significantly.
