Toyota has launched a new Land Cruiser Prado premium SUV for the Indian market and has priced it at Rs 84.87 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new Land Cruiser Prado gets cosmetic updates as well a host of new features both inside and outside but remains the same mechanically.
The new Land Cruiser Prado gets a completely revised fascia in the form of a new front grille, bumper, fog lamps as well new headlights with daytime LEDs. At the back, Toyota has changed the design for the rear number plate holder and fitted new tail lamps too.
On the feature front, the new Land Cruiser Prado gets a new design for the central console, infotainment system with seven-inch display and a second row seat heater. To enhance its off-road capabilities the new Prado has also been fitted with Crawl Control, multi-terrain select, tyre pressure monitoring system and multi-terrain monitor.
The new Prado is available in five colours- White Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic, Grey Metallic, Dark Blue Metallic and Black along with two interior colours (Flaxen and Black) which provides an option of a combination of dark exteriors and lighter interiors or vice versa.
The Land Cruiser Prado is powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine which produces 171bhp and 410Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via a four-wheel-drive system and a five-speed automatic gearbox. The Land Cruiser Prado competes with the Audi Q7 and the BMW X6 and is available for booking from today.
