Toyota launches Fortuner 4X4 AT and updated Innova

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has begun the new year by launching the Fortuner 4X4 with an automatic transmission and a refreshed Innova. The Fortuner AT so far was available only in a 4X2 guise with this, the SUV’s range looks complete. The Japanese carmaker in order to celebrate a decade of the Innova’s existence has refreshed the MPV as well.

The updated Innova gets dual front airbags and ABS standard on all variants. It also gets minor cosmetic upgrades like a slightly tweaked front grille, bumper and side mouldings and there are two new paint shades - Bronze Mica Metallic and Silver Metallic. Inside the cabin it gets leather seats in a new design with a folding second and third row. It also gets new oak interior shade with wood finish on armrests for upper variants and also a third-row AC roof-mounted vents for the G-trim level.

The Fortuner 4X4 AT gets new 12-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels in dark-grey shade and smoked-headlamp/tail-lamp inserts exclusive to this variant with minor tweaks to the front fog-lamp housing. It also gets two new paint shades on offer - Bronze Mica Metallic and Silver Metallic like the Innova. There are changes to the interior too with an all-black theme instead of the dual-tone one seen on other Fortuner models. A touchscreen DVD display with navigation system equipped with voice-commands is also on the standard list.

The Fortuner and the Innova are the volume spinners for the Japanese car major and this is a good move to update the vehicles in the beginning of the year.
