Toyota launches five-speed automatic Fortuner for Rs 22.33 lakh

Toyota has launched a five-speed automatic version of the Fortuner SUV for Rs 22.33 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). The Japanese automaker will now also offer the Fortuner TRD Sportivo,   which was launched as a limited edition in October 2102, as a regular variant in its lineup.

Commenting on the new introductions, Sandeep Singh, deputy managing director and chief operating officer, marketing and commercial said “Further adding to Fortuner’s strength of unmatched road presence and luxury, we have now introduced the five speed automatic transmission. The 4x2 AT is extremely popular and has been highly appreciated by the customers. The five-speed AT will further add to the drive quality and comfort.”  

“We introduced the Fortuner TRD Sportivo as a limited edition in October last year. Looking at the overwhelming response and its popularity, we have now regularised this variant for all those looking for a unique sporty image,” he added.  Toyota has also added a new colour to the Fortuner’s options list; pearl white mica which is available across all variants of the SUV. Bookings for the new variants will begin from January 18.
