Toyota launches facelifted Etios and Etios Liva for Rs 5.45 lakh and Rs 4.46 lakh

Toyota has launched the facelifted Etios and Etios Liva for Rs 5.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and Rs 4.46 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.  The Japanese automaker has now also launched the Etios Liva TRD Sportivo as a regular variant in its line up and has priced it at Rs 6.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). 

The facelifted Etios sedan and the Etios Liva hatchback have mostly got cosmetic changes both on the inside and the outside of the car. The exterior of both cars now get a refreshed grille that has been given a chrome finish.  The OVRMs now get integrated indicators and the rear lights have also been redesigned. 

The interiors now get a two-tone combination and a 2-din music system with Bluetooth, USB connectivity, AUX-in as well remote control function.  The driver’s seat gets height adjustment while the centrally mounted instrument panel has been fitted a blue backlight. Toyota has refreshed the controls and installed a new filter. Both the Etios and the Liva are being offered in a new shade ‘Classic Grey’. The variants in the diesel range have now been increased. The diesel line up will now have the newly introduced J grade at the entry level.       

The Etios Liva TRD Sportivo was launched as a limited edition in July last year and has now become a regular variant in the Toyota India line up. It features the TRD aero kit and 15-inch smoked alloy wheels. The interiors now get seats with the TRD Sportivo logo, a roof ornament as well as driver and passenger airbags. The limited edition has been designed by Toyota Racing Development (TRD), Japan.  

 The engine line up is the same as before, a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 80bhp and 104Nm of torque as well as a 1.4-litre diesel engine which produces 68bhp and 170Nm of torque.  Both mills have been mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.  The Liva TRD Sportivo will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine which produces 90bhp. 

Commenting on the launch, Sandeep Singh, deputy managing director and chief operating officer, marketing and commercial said “As a part of our product lifecycle and with the aim to bring newness to the line up we are launching the New Etios and Etios Liva. We have incorporated customer feedback and are looking forward to delighting more customers with the new vehicles.”
