Toyota recently launched the refreshed Land Cruiser 200 for the Indian market at Rs 1.29 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). The big burly SUV, with its huge street presence, comes packed with additional equipment and features. Let's have a look at the pictures of the updated SUV.
The manufacturer has given the Land Cruiser 200 a serious makeover with a newly designed front end that includes a reshaped grille, bumper, headlamps and bonnet.
There are new LED tail light clusters that complement the changes at the front. The car gets keyless entry remote control central locking with push button start and retractable exterior rear vision mirrors.
The Land Cruiser 200 rides on newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels shod with 285/60R18 tyres. The SUV also gets a full-sized spare wheel as standard.
The car is packed with safety features including ABS with brake assist and electronic brake force distribution. There is vehicle stability control, active traction control and trailer sway control.
The Land Cruiser gets the Toyota safety sense package which includes automatic high-beam headlamps, dynamic radar cruise control, pre-crash safety system, pre-crash brake and lane keep assist.
The car is available in the VX grade as an eight-seater. There are split folding second and third-row seats while the front and second-row seats are heated.
The interior boasts of a multi-function information display screen connected to a nine-speaker audio system. It also gets a satellite navigation with a reverse camera and economy/trip computer.
Power is fed to the front and rear axles through the torsen limited-slip centre differential with the aid of the six-speed automatic transmission with a sequential manual operation.
The Land Cruiser 200 features Crawl control. This acts as an ‘off-road cruise control system’ that manages the engine and brakes while maintaining a low and uniform speed in rough terrain.
There is a multi-terrain select option with the automatic mode to alter the 4WD system’s operation to adjust to the different kind of terrain it is being taken to.
