Toyota has facelifted the Innova MPV for the Indian market and launched and a new top-end Z variant for Rs 15.07 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new model is available only with a diesel engine and has few changes to both exteriors and interiors to distinguish it from the current Innova.
The facelifted Innova gets a new grille and front bumper which are laden with chrome. The side profile is the same with the exception of a chrome side moulding. The new design is inspired from the Fortuner and boasts of a chrome strip above the number plate that has badging embossed in it.
The top spec Z variant gets dual tone leather seats and wooden inserts for the door trims and gear lever. On the exteriors it has body graphics, chrome muffler cutter and a rear spoiler to distinguish it from rest of the lineup. The new ZX variant will be available only with seven seats configuration.
All diesel variants of the Innova except for base G and E get the upgrades. The engine line-up remains the same as before, a 2.5-litre diesel mill that produces 100bhp and 200Nm of torque. Toyota has not changed the prices of the facelifted GX and VX variants – the new ZX variant is also available with a BS III engine, which is priced at Rs 14.82 lakh.
Edit: We will also add interior pictures of the facelifted Innova, so check back on this story later in the day.
