Toyota has unveiled the all-new Innova Crysta at the Auto Expo 2016. The new version of the Toyota’s best-selling MPV in India will be on sale in the next few months. Here are more details of the upcoming MPV with the photo gallery.
In silhouette, it is still similar to the current car, but a lot has changed in terms of platform, looks, features, cabin space, engine and gearbox options.
The front of the car gets hexagonal grille, the headlamps are sleek and look premium with the projector units. And just to make sure it looks premium, Toyota has added whole lot of chrome to the exterior.
The rear section of the car is still similar to the previous model, but the horizontal tail lamps are lot more compact and the area behind the C-pillar is unique and stylish.
The dashboard of the Innova has been updated. It is now similar to the more premium models like the Corolla and the Camry in terms of quality, fit and finish.
Also, this car has more features. The cabin gets ambient light, the touch screen system is integrated, instrument cluster is digital and there are plenty of cubby holes for storage.
In terms of cabin space, there is improvement both in the first and the second row. However, the space at the back and in the boot is still limited.
Toyota will introduce new petrol and diesel engines with this Innova. The oilburner is a lot more powerful now, pumping 140bhp. In addition, there is an automatic transmission and cruise control.
The Toyota Innova Crysta will be launched in the first of 2016 with a price tag higher than the existing model. The company may continue selling the current car for while after introducing this one.
