Toyota has launched the new Innova Crysta for the Indian market starting at Rs 13.83 lakh. The new premium MPV replaces the model that was on sale in India till date. It is nearly after a decade that the Innova has undergone a major makeover. Will the new one also carry over the robust built, space, comfort and reliability like the old one? Only time will tell. Till then, check out its pictures.
This 2016 Innova debuted at the Auto Expo at the start of the year and was christened as the Innova Crysta. It will soon be seen on the Indian roads.
The new generation model looks more aggressive than the outgoing model. It gets a revised grille embellished in chrome and projector headlamps that were missing on the older model.
Coming to sides, the biggest change is the rear-quarter glass that adds to the airy feel inside. The wheel arches are now more subtle and the car rides on a new pattern of alloy wheels.
The changes at the back include revamped wrap-around tail lamps that surely look interesting. The tail-gate also gets tweaked a bit.
The cabin of the Innova Crysta is a huge step forward when it comes to the styling and premium feel. It not only offers more space and comfort, but more features as well.
A redesigned dashboard takes centrestage in the cabin of the new Innova Crysta. It gets a new touch-screen display for the infotainment system.
The instrument cluster is completely revamped and now displays much more information on the analog-digital console. All the tech-related stuff is clearly displayed in the digital screen placed in the centre.
Apart from the use of better materials to make the cabin more upmarket, Toyota has also taken care of the small bits. For example, even the key fob uses a high-quality material giving it a rich feel.
While ambient lighting is a feature to just to brighten up things in the cabin, the wood interior panels take care of upping the luxury quotient.
Toyota has also taken care of the occupants' safety. The top-end Innova comes equipped with six airbags, while all variants get dual front and knee airbags as standard.
The new Innova Crysta has a huge pair of shoes to fill as it replaces the much-trusted old car. And looking at the new one, we don't think it will be difficult for it to replicate this success.
