Toyota Indonesia launches all new Fortuner

Toyota in Indonesia has launched the all-new Toyota Fortuner at RP 442,000,000 (Rs 21.60 lakh). This SUV is expected to roll off Toyota’s manufacturing unit at Karawang. Toyota assertively carried the theme “Leading the world with style and confidence” at the launch venue. 

Two engines are being offered on the new Fortuner - a 2.4-litre diesel and a 2.7-litre petrol motor. The petrol motor that produces 163bhp and 242Nm of torque is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that will only come in one variant called the SRZ for the 2WD version. The diesel-powered 2.4-litre motor will make 149.6bhp and 400Nm of torque, and will be offered in two versions called G and VRZ with the option of 2WD and 4WD. This oil-burner will also be offered with the choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed auto box.
