Riding high on the success of the Innova Crysta, Toyota India has just made it official that the brand will launch the all-new Fortuner in November. The popular full-size SUV, in fact, will hit the Indian roads on November 7.
One of the most anticipated product launches of the year, the new Fortuner has arrived at Toyota dealerships for training purposes and is now little over a month away from its official launch. Besides an all-new look featuring a lot of creases and chrome elements, the Fortuner also gets an improved ladder frame and a pair of diesel engines from the Innova Crysta.
The diesel engines will come in the form of the 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre four-cylinder GD motors. Power output will range between 148bhp/400Nm and 177bhp/450Nm. Like the Innova, both these engine options in the Fortuner will be paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The new Fortuner will replace the ageing current model when it goes on sale early next month. It will cost well north of Rs 30 lakh and take on the likes of Ford Endeavour and Hyundai Santa Fe.
