Toyota India has recalled 5,834 Corolla Altis sedans manufactured from June 15, 2010 to May 23, 2011. The recall is to fix the problem of engine oil seeping into the air intake system.
There have been no complaints pertaining to this fault and none of the other models manufactured by the company during that period has any issues. Toyota dealerships will contact customers by issuing a letter or a telephone call and the repairs will be carried out free of cost. Customers will be informed about the time required for the repairs during the time of communication.
It seems like the Corolla Altis diesel has been a problem child for the Japanese carmaker with the last recall being for some electrical issues. We hope the new Corolla Altis doesn’t get affected due to the niggling issues the old car faced.
