Toyota India has launched a thoroughly updated model of the Land Cruiser 200. Priced at Rs 1.29 crore (ex-showroom Delhi), this new luxury SUV is now more contemporary looking and packs in a few additional features over the old.
As far as design updates are concerned, the new Land Cruiser 200 gets a massive hexagonal grille, revised LED headlamps, new design for the alloys wheels and restyled rear combination lamps. Inside, the SUV now features a larger infotainment system with 4.2-inch TFT display, satin silver finished centre console, new interior colour trim and a new steering wheel.
Feature-wise, the new Land Cruiser 200 comes with additional equipment including heated steering wheel, LED illuminated entry system, tyre pressure monitors and enhanced multi-terrain monitor cameras.
Under the hood, there’s a 4.4-litre V8 diesel motor that puts out as much as 650Nm of torque. The unit is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and a hardcore all-wheel drive system for tricky off-road conditions.
The LC 200 may not be the choice of many when it comes to buying big, luxury SUVs in India, however, it has a massive following across the world for its immense street presence and go anywhere capability. This new model is around Rs 10 lakh more expensive than the outgoing LC 200, however, Toyota India is justifying the premium by offering a whole new look and several new features as standard.
