Japanese car manufacturer, Toyota, revealed the GR Supra GT4 concept which was designed primarily for the privateer racing teams. The term GR stands for Gazoo Racing, Toyota’s motorsports partner. Although the engine remains unchanged, the GT4 Supra will be offered with a more aggressive ECU-brain. The exact power output figures, however, remain unannounced for now.
Based on what can be seen, the GT4 Concept appears to be longer and sits marginally lower than the stock model, resembling the FT-1 concept. The reports indicate that the vehicle uses the existing MacPherson strut for the front and multilink rear suspension. However, the vehicle gets competitive springs and anti-roll bars. To distinguish it from the regular model, the vehicle gets a set of BBS racing wheels wrapped in Michelin racing tyres. The Brembo brakes provide effective and efficient braking when needed.
As for the interior, the vehicle does not get any luxury highlights and does not resemble any road car whatsoever. The exclusive race spec model gets a racing dashboard, carbon-fibre door panels and a roll cage. Hypercar enthusiasts and gamers will have an opportunity to drive the GR Supra Racing Concept in the PlayStation 4's Gran Turismo Sport video game.
