Toyota Glanza launched: Variants explained

The much-awaited hatchback, the Glanza from Toyota has finally been launched in India at an introductory price of Rs 7.21 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Glanza is available in two variants – G and V in four trims - G MT, V MT, G CVT, and V CVT. 

Here below is variant-wise feature list –

Glanza G 

The entry-level manual Glanza G is powered by a 1.2-litre K12N engine with a mild-hybrid motor that generates 89bhp and 113Nm. the mild-hybrid version features an advanced Lithium-ion battery with torque assist function, idle start-stop function and brake energy regeneration function. The optional CVT variant is powered by a 1.2-litre K12M engine that produces 82bhp and 113Nm. In terms of features, the G variant gets standard features like illuminated glove box, front and rear power sockets, power windows with driver side auto up/down and automatic AC. Interestingly, the hatchback also gets auto adjustable and folding ORVMs, remote keyless entry, tilt adjustable telescopic steering and electromagnetic back door opening. 

The Glanza G gets LED projector headlamps with a light guide, LED rear combination lamps, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and chrome garnish on door handles, window lining and back door garnish. As for the interior, it gets a touchscreen infotainment system with USB and AUX, four speakers and two tweeters, steering mounted controls and dual-tone fabric seats. 

As for safety, it gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, BA, rear parking sensor, speed and seat belt warning alert, electrochromic inner review view mirror and speed sensing door locks. Additionally, the vehicle also gets a rear wiper with washer and defogger. 

Glanza V

The higher spec Glanza V trim is available in both manual and CVT options and comes mated to the regular 1.2-litre K12M engine. In addition to all the features from G trim, the V trim additionally gets leather-wrapped steering wheel, driver side sunvisor with vanity mirror and lamp, and LED projector headlamps with DRL. Additionally, the V trim gets UV protect glass, reverse parking camera with audio display, auto headlamps and follow me home headlamps.
