- Bookings are likely to commence from the first week of June.
- Toyota will offer a three year/1,00,000 km standard warranty on the Glanza.
- It will be available with a 1.2L petrol engine with manual and automatic transmissions.
Finally, the launch date of Toyota Glanza has been announced by the Japanese carmaker, and the rebadged Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be launched in India on 6 June 2019. Apart from announcing the launch date, the company has also released a new video, which details the front fascia of the premium hatchback.
A red colour variant of the Toyota Glanza was spied recently at a dealership, which also revealed the interiors of the car. The Glanza is identical to the Baleno in terms of design, and the only change is the new twin-slat chrome grille with the Toyota logo. The premium hatchback will be available in two trims – G and V, which are the equivalent of Zeta and Alpha variants of the Baleno.
Powering Toyota Glanza will be a 1.2-litre K12B petrol motor that makes 83bhp and 113Nm. It will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT, which was spotted last week. There won’t be a diesel powertrain on offer. However, reports suggest that the Glanza could get a 1.2L K12C DualJet Dual VVT petrol motor along with a dual-battery mild-hybrid system. The car will get a standard warranty of three years/1,00,000 km.
