Toyota Glanza was introduced in India on June 2019. At the time of launch, the entry-level G variant was introduced with a 1.2-litre Dualjet hybrid engine which is priced at Rs 7,21,900. This time around the company has further expanded the G variant lineup in India by introducing a more affordable G variant with manual transmission for a price of Rs 6,97,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is cheaper by Rs 24,000 than the mild hybrid version.
The new entry-level G variant is powered by a regular 1.2-litre VVT, BS-VI compliant engine which produces 82bhp at 6,000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 4,200rpm. This is 6 bhp lower than the mild hybrid version. The engine comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The new entry-level G MT variant gets all the features as offered in the mild-hybrid version. The feature list includes LED projector headlamps, LED rear combination taillamps, chrome grille, diamond-cut alloy wheels, chrome door handles, touchscreen infotainment system, voice command, steering mounted controls and more.
