Toyota has launched the facelifted Etios Liva hatchback in a price range of Rs 4.76 lakh to Rs 6.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The petrol variants start from Rs 4,76,142 and go up to Rs 6,57,105 for the top-end version. The diesel models are priced in the range of Rs 5,94,642 and Rs 6,95,460. The updated car gets the similar treatment like the facelifted Etios sedan.
As seen on the facelifted sedan, the revised hatchback also gets a revised front grille and the fascia is in line with Toyota's new design language. Toyota has added a new premium pearl white colour apart from the standard colours the hatchback was available in. The other cosmetic changes include the new 12-spoke design for the alloys and the electrically adjustable mirrors.
All models of the Etios Liva hatchback now are equipped with dual SRS airbags as a standardised safety feature introduced by the Japanese automaker. Apart from this, the car gets the buzzer warning for seatbelt, doors open and headlights on. The top-end variants feature reverse parking sensors, steering mounted audio controls, wood finish armrest, chrome door handles, new seat fabric with height adjustable seats for driver, combimeter with new LCD display and digital clock and a cooled glove box. The hatchback also gets two new rear speakers in addition to the speakers in the front. The infotainment system is same as the 2-DIN audio player with Bluetooth, USB Aux –in and remote in the Etios sedan.
The engine options on the facelifted Etios Liva hatchback remain the same. This means the diesel variant continues to be powered by the 1.4-litre diesel engine, while the petrol sedan gets power from the same 1.2-litre motor. The transmission options also remain the same with the five-speed manual gearbox.
Toyota has marketed the Etios Liva as a hatchback that offers the best of comfort and space. The company is constantly working towards developing better technology to provide enhanced safety and by introducing dual airbags in all its variants they have definitely upped the safety standard which we think every other manufacturer should also do.
