Toyota Etios Liva dual-tone was first introduced in India last year. At the time of launch, the dual-tone paint scheme was being offered only with the top V and VX trims along with fresh set of exterior and interior upgrades. In addition to the existing dual colour options in shades of - red and white, the company has now introduced a new inferno orange shade. The blue dual-colour option has now been discontinued. The dual tone Etios Liva is now offered in four variants - V, VX, VD and VXD, which are priced from ₹ 5.85 lakhs to ₹ 7.44 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Apart from a new colour option, the dual tone variant continues to be offered with a black roof, 10-spoke diamond-cut alloys, carbon fibre-styling for the front bumper, and chrome bezels for the front fog lamps. The vehicle also gets electric ORVMs with integrated turn signal lights and a sporty rear spoiler. As for the interior, it gets steering-mounted audio controls, cooled glove box, and 251-litre boot space. The reverse sensors and the front fog lamps are limited to top spec VX and VXD variants.
As for safety the Liva dual tone variant gets dual airbags, keyless entry, ISOFIX child seat mounts, ABS with EBD, driver seat belt and door ajar warning buzzer, and rear defogger. Mechanically, it continues to be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates 79bhp of power and 104Nm of torque. The 1.4-litre diesel on the other hand generates 67bhp of power and 170Nm of peak torque. Both the engine options come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
