Toyota will launch a facelifted version of its sedan later this year. It will be the first major update for the Etios and will be launched later this year, possibly during the festival season.
The pictures reveal that the Etios will get Toyota’s latest V-shaped grille design as well as new bumpers both for the front and rear. There is also expected to be an additional chrome strip on the boot lid.
Inside, the cabin will remain largely unchanged save for a digital instrument cluster and possibly a new steering wheel. Engine and gearbox options will remain unchanged throughout the line-up. This means a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 1.4-litre diesel engine. Both only get the option of a five-speed manual.
The Etios has been a steady seller for Toyota as it has been averaging over 2000 units every month over the last six months playing second fiddle only to the mighty Innova/Crysta MPV. It will rival the likes of the B-segment hatchbacks.
