Toyota recently launched the Etios Cross X Edition in India at Rs 6.64 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The car is now available for bookings across the country in the V trim based diesel version and the G trim based petrol option. It should be noted that this isn't a new model; it just gets some cosmetic enhancements and features over the standard car. Take a look at the picture gallery to know the changes.
The Cross X edition gets new quartz brown paint, black front grille and fog lamp bezels. There are 'X-Edition' badges and a body coloured cladding too.
The updates to the interior include a carbon fibre finish to the instrument panel. This has given the dashboard a different feel unlike the regular hatchback.
Then, there's new dual tone upholstery too. Toyota has tried to up the premium quotient in the cabin by making such changes.
The Etios Cross X also gets a 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This comes with iPod compatibility and is paired to a reverse parking camera.
There are no mechanical changes to the vehicle and the Etios Cross X continues to run on the same powertrains, which are powering the standard variants.
Thus, the standard safety features of the model are also carried over. This includes dual front SRS airbags, ABS with EBD and front seat belt with pre-tensioner and force limiter.
Both the trims of the new Toyota Etios Cross X get cosmetic as well as feature updates. They cost about Rs 33,000 over and above their corresponding trims.
