The Toyota Etios and Etios Liva diesels have been rumoured to get a 76bhp engine. Apparently that isn't true. The Toyota Etios and the Etios Liva, both will be powered by a 1.4-litre D-4D engine that will produce 68bhp of power. This engine has been picked-up from the Corolla Altis, however it doesn't get the variable geomtric turbocharger. The ARAI claimed mileage for both the Etios twins is about 22kmpl. The bookings for the diesel variants have began and you can book one with a downpayment of about Rs 50,000. The pricing of the twins will be announced on 9th September after the official launch.
