Toyota Kirloskar Motors have added two new range-topping variants to the brochure of the Etios Liva hatchback. The variants are exclusive to the Liva diesel and will carry the VD & VD SP (SP stands for safety package) nomenclatures.
The changes to the exteriors on the VD and VD SP models include a double chrome grille and turn indicators integrated on the wing mirrors and 12-spoke alloy-wheels.
The interiors get AUX-in and Bluetooth support for the music system, and wood grain finish for the door armrest. The VD SP particularly gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The range topper VD SP also gets dual front airbags and ABS with EBD. However, the new variants will be powered by the same 1.4-litre D-4D diesel mill, with no tweaks for additional power or torque.
The new variant VD is priced at Rs 6.7 lakh, while the VD SP will be dearer by Rs 33,000 over the VD at Rs 7.03 lakh (prices ex-showroom Mumbai).
