Toyota recently launched the Etios Cross X for the Indian market starting at Rs 6.8 lakhs. But what puts the X in this Etios Cross X? Take a look at these three vital things, which make the Cross X different from the regular model.
New paint
Mechanically, the Etios Cross X remains the same. However, Toyota has introduced a new quartz brown paint, unique for this special edition.
Silver to black transformation
The regular Etios Cross has a silver front grille and side cladding with silver inserts. The Cross X gets a black grille instead. Also, unlike the regular Etios Cross, there’s body coloured cladding in this trim. There will be X-Edition badges on the car as well.
New cabin features
The interior layout and design of the car continues to be the same. But, Etios Cross X customers will get a 6.8-inch touch screen infotainment system and a reverse parking camera in the petrol G variant and V diesel trim. The seat fabric is also new to match the piano black dashboard.
The petrol and diesel engine options are carried over. There are no changes on that front. It’s only for these cosmetic changes and additional features that the prospective buyers have to shell out about Rs 33,000 more for the Cross X over the standard Cross. Bookings are being accepted at Rs 22,000, while deliveries are expected to begin next month.
