Mini has showcased its Convertible at the Auto Expo this year. Although there have been no changes to the product at large, we decided to share the top 3 features on the Mini Convertible.
1. It goes without saying that it is the Mini’s design that helps it draw so much attention from fans. The ‘Classic’ look is thanks to the evolution of the traditional styling that’s smartly coupled to the retro-convertible design with the canvas soft-top which partially tucks itself over the boot. This roof can be opened and shut in just 18 seconds for speeds of up to 30kmph.
2. The interior of the Mini Convertible is real treat for the eyes. The exclusivity of the exterior design is carried forward to the interiors where the circular theme can be seen here too. A huge round infotainment screen takes prime position on the centre of the dashboard. And one will notice unique toggle switches to the various functions of the car.
3. All that show isn’t without any go. The Mini Convertible is powered by the same capable motor that hides beneath the hood of the Cooper S. This 2.0-litre drivetrain uses a six-speed transmission to lay all of the 189bhp/280Nm on the tarmac. Mini claims that its Convertible is capable of sprinting from zero to 100kmph in 7.1 seconds before hitting a top speed of 228kmph.
