Nissan India recently launched the updated version of NissanConnect, which is a factory-fitted connected-car technology solution with an embedded Telematics Control Unit. Every car gets a separate inbuilt SIM and operates on a dedicated server for safe and secured data. Here are the additional important safety features brought in this year.
1. SoS
The most evident update is the red SoS button seen on the front interface of the app. This is also called as the panic button which can be activated manually by owners.
2. Tow away Alert and Track
The app will now also be able to alert you if your car isn't on and still being towed away. In addition, there's another Track and Trace feature for owners whose cars are chauffeur-driven.
3. Automated impact alert
Nissan has now enabled the app to inform users in case the vehicle meets with an accident. There are more features like Harsh Acceleration Alert, Sudden Turn Alert and Sudden Brake Alert Curfew Alert.
4. Geo Fencing with multiple entry/exit
The geo-fencing and curfew alert feature was already present, but lacked the ability to add in multiple points. Now, a user can assign different locations in the time fencing feature.
