Tata Nexon, a popular name in the compact SUV space is now available with an AMT option in the mid-level XMA variant. The Indian vehicle manufacturer had earlier limited the AMT option to the top-spec XZA+ variant and introducing it in the mid-level variant has further widened options for potential customers. Price
Tata Nexon XMA petrol and the XMA diesel variants are priced at Rs 7.53 lakhs and Rs 8.53 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. As compared to the top spec XZA+ variants, the XMA petrol is now affordable by Rs 1.90 lakhs, while the diesel version has costs Rs 1.85 lakhs lesser.
Features
The Nexon XMA variant is available with features such as electric ORVMs, remote central locking, follow-me-home headlamps, ConnectNext infotainment system with steering mounted audio controls, remote central locking, four speakers and wheel covers. The variant however misses out on features like the projector headlamps with the LED DRLs and diamond cut alloy wheels.
Engine
The Nexon XMA is available in petrol as well as diesel engine options. The petrol version is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron engine that generates 108bp of power and 170Nm of torque. The diesel version gets a 1.5-litre Revotorq engine that generates 108bhp of power and 260Nm of torque. Both the engine options get a six-speed AMT or as Tata terms it ‘Hyper-Drive’ system.
Dual-tone
Tata Motors has also introduced an all-new ‘Ivory White’ roof-color option in the mid-level automatic variant.
Safety
The vehicle gets dual front airbags and ABS as standard. The vehicle is also offered with Smart Hill Assist feature and Crawl function.
