Maruti Suzuki’s new 2018 Ertiga is here and as we all know it is all-new. Built on a new platform, it has been developed ground up with inputs from the various sections of the market to give the customer more car for their money. While we have already seen the top changes on the outside here, we have also compiled a list of the top new features you will find inside the cabin of the new Ertiga.
1. All-new Dashboard
The 2018 Ertiga, as we have said before, has been developed ground up and it now takes styling cues from the new Ciaz and the Dzire for its interior. The all-new beige dashboard gets AC vents hidden in its layers and a wooden plaque running across its width. The beige, black and wooden combination gives the dash a very clean and upmarket premium look.
2. All-new Instrument cluster
This new analog-digital hybrid cluster is also all-new and comes backlit in blue. The binnacle of the speedometer and the rev-counter have a coloured TFT multifunction-display sandwiched within. It displays the trim computers, distance to empty, fuel economy and more information like this.
3. Air-cooled cup holders
This is a unique feature, probably the first of its kind in this segment. Essentially a ventilated cup holder, cool air form the AC is directed at the cup holders to keep the water or any other beverages from heating up and should come handy in the ever increasing intensity of the summers.
4. Bootspace
Thanks to the longer length of the car, the boot-space is increased from just 135 litres to 209 litres with all three rows of seats up. Fold up the last row to open up 341 more litres of bootspace and with both the back rows folded up it opens up more than 800 litres of cargo space. Apart from better bootspace, the cabin space has also improved in the new Ertiga.
5. Safety
Maruti Suzuki offers dual-front airbags and ABS with EBD and brake assist as standard equipment with the Ertiga along with ISOFIX mounts for child seats and rear parking sensors across all variants including the base trim.
