The more feature loaded version of the Tiago, the Tiago NRG has been introduced in India in petrol and diesel engine options. Changes are limited to cosmetic and feature upgrades while mechanically it continues to be powered by the existing engines. Here below are top five highlights of the newly launched Tiago NRG –
Exterior
The Tata Tiago NRG gets an armoured front end design and infinity black roof with roof rails. The side profile looks sporty with unique squircle wheel arches and four-spoke DurAlloy wheels. The vehicle gets a muscular finisher on the rear tailgate and a rugged skidplate.
Interior
To distinguish it from the regular model, the Tiago NRG gets seats with body-hugging bolsters that feature a unique denim inspired fabric. The vehicle comes with an active black interior with vibrant canyon orange highlights and cooled glove box.
Performance
The hatchback continues to be powered by 1.2-litre Revotron petrol and 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. To enable easy handling on rough road terrains, the vehicle gets 180mm of ground clearance which is an additional 15mm over the regular model. Along with the intelligent electric power steering system, the company claims that the suspension has been specially tuned for rough road terrains.
Features
The vehicle gets a five-inch Harman infotainment system that supports navigation with 3D Navi maps and voice command for media, radio and phone. The vehicle also gets four speakers and four tweeters from Harman.
Safety
Tata Tiago NRG gets standard safety features such as driver seatbelt reminder, follow-me-home headlamps, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and Corner Stability Control, and reverse parking assist. The vehicle is also offered with rear wiper for added convenience.
