The all-new Syros is Kia India’s fourth relatively affordable model after the Sonet, the Seltos, and the Carens. It’s an entirely new sub-4 metre SUV that will be positioned between the Sonet and the Seltos. In terms of its USP, the Syros will offer lots of space for the rear seat occupants and a few segment-first features. Speaking of which, here are its top five features.
Dedicated 5-inch screen for AC
The 30-inch instrument panel includes the driver cluster, the main infotainment display, and a dedicated 5-inch display for the climate control system. The latter is something that is new to this segment.
Level 2 ADAS
The Syros comes with level 2 ADAS which includes up to 16 driver assist functions such as front collision warning with avoidance assist, lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, and more.
Rear seat ventilation
The Syros features cooling function for both front and rear seats. We have seen ventilated seats in the front of many cars in this segment but with the Syros you get a cooling function for the rear seats as well.
Panoramic sunroof
Like the Seltos, the Syros comes with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof that extends all the way to the rear of the cabin.
Multiple adjustments for rear seats
The rear seats on the Syros can be reclined and they also feature a sliding option since they are on rails.
Prices for the Kia Syros are expected to be announced next month with bookings opening on 3 January 2025.
