The C-segment sedans have been a popular choice amongst the Indian families. This particular body type appeal to the buyers due to its unique styling element and comfort for the occupants. Another determining factor for many potential buyers is the boot space. So, here below are the top five sedans with the best boot space in this segment in the order of volume-
Honda City
The Honda City has the smallest boot when compared to the other sedans in this list. In terms of overall volume, it might not look that bad. With a capacity of 510-litres, it competes with the best, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. However, with a length, width and height of 83cms, 120cms and 58cms, respectively, it emerges as the smallest of the lot. So, even though it looks like this premium Honda car offers a large boot space theoretically, the practically usable area is indeed the least as compared the others on our list.
Hyundai Verna
Hyundai’s popular selling sedan, the Verna has fared relatively better than the City as it measures 90cms in length, 131cms in width and 58cms in height. The figures are relatively better even when the vehicle has an overall boot space of 465-litres, which is considerably smaller than the City. The Verna’s boot is not just a bit longer, but it is also marginally wider.
Toyota Yaris
Toyota’s newest product offering, the Yaris offers a decent boot capacity of 476-litres. In terms of length, width and height it measures 102cms, 111cms and 59cms, respectively. Although the Yaris isn’t as wide as the Verna, it offers better length and more overall boot capacity than the latter.
Volkswagen Vento
The Volkswagen Vento from the German car manufacturer is second to top on our list with an impressive boot capacity of 494-litres. The Vento outdoes the Yaris by a slight margin and is clearly a better proposition. In terms of numbers, the Vento measures 103cms in length, 116cms in width and 60cm in height.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz
The recently introduced Maruti Suzuki Ciaz tops our list with an impressive boot capacity of 510-litres. The Ciaz leads the pack among the C-segment sedans with an impressive length of 100cms, 138cms of width and 60cms of height. The vehicle indeed has the widest boot space and offers the maximum overall capacity over the rest in the segment.
