Jaguar Land Rover recently introduced the 2018 model year Discovery Sport in India. The car gets new connectivity features and updates to the infotainment system. Let's take a look at the top 4 features.
Wi-Fi Hotspot
The carmaker has now equipped the SUV with a Wi-Fi Hotspot. It uses a customer sourced SIM to provide in car access to a 4G hotspot, which in turn can connect up to eight devices. This ensures passengers to stay connected to the internet throughout the journey.
Route Planner App
The brand's 'InControl - Pro Services' also get some additional services. This includes a Route Planner app, which is available from Apple Store or Google Play Store. Like other navigation apps this one too allows one to navigate to the end destination. However, its USP is that it syncs routes with the vehicle’s navigation system.
Commute Mode
There’s a new commute mode which automatically learns a regular route traversed by an owner. It then displays diversions according to any delays on the existing regular route.
Sharing ETA
Another new feature is the Sharing ETA, which as the name suggests, allows sharing of location updates with certain contacts. The expected time of arrival (ETA) is sent to these saved contacts via SMS.
