It has been two years now since the launch of the Renault Kwid in India. And to mark this occasion, the carmaker recently launched an Anniversary edition. Here are four important changes on the hatchback that you should know about.
1. Exterior body colour
The special edition will be offered only in red or white exterior colours. The ORVM housing gets a two-tone finish. In addition to that, the wheels and skid plates are coloured in red.
2. Body decals
The list of styling updates outside include designer graphics. The bonnet and doors sport the '02' insignia, while there are trendy decals on the C-pillar and the roof too.
3. Tweaked upholstery
The interior is also revised with new seats with ‘02’ insignia. Renault calls it the sportline seat upholstery. Furthermore, there is a dark ivory trim around side air vents and a piano-black centre fascia with dark ivory highlights as well.
4. Red embellishments
To go with the flow of the theme, the gear knob gets a two-tone finish with a red embellishment. Similarly, the floor mats and steering wheel also get this colour with the '02’ emblem.
The updates on the Renault Kwid Anniversary edition are purely cosmetic and it is offered in both 799cc and 999cc versions. However, it is only available with a five-speed manual in RXL or RXT trim, and costs Rs. 15,000 more over the standard variants. Prices start at Rs 3.43 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
