Toyota launched the updated Camry Hybrid in India yesterday. The carmaker hasn't made any powertrain related changes to the car and it continues to be equipped with the same 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. This is paired to an electric motor and is capable of generating a combined output of 202bhp, while being mated to an e-CVT gearbox.
Now to the interesting part. Apart from some minor cosmetic tweaks, the car now gets a few feature additions too. Let's have a look at them.
Exterior
The updated Camry Hybrid now sports new LED fog lamps, while the car rides on new 15-spoke alloy wheels. It also gets LED headlamps with DRLs, welcome lamp and auto folding and reverse linked ORVMs.
Interior
Toyota has also upgraded the infotainment system on offer. It now features navigation support and is connected to a 12 speaker JBL sound system. Then, there is a new wireless smartphone charger, new back guide monitor, power reclining rear seats and three-zone automatic climate control.
Safety features
On the safety front, the 2017 Camry Hybrid offers 9 airbags (2 more than the older model), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a new emergency brake signal. Vehicle stability control, traction control and hill start assist control are also a part of the Camry's feature list.
