If this is how the next generation of the legendary Impreza or what they call it now, the WRX will look like, we are certainly all ears. Meet the Viziv Performance concept from Subaru, the ragged edge sword that looks ready to scorch the rally tracks across the world.
While it retains the Subaru grille, the styling is now creasy with a multitude of planes intersecting to form the new fascia. The pronounced blacked out air dam and the C-shaped LED strips make it aggressive. The flared rear hunches in profile give it the muscle while the descending roofline adds visual speed. The aero bits on the sides look particularly sporty while the quad exhausts and the splitter in the back look racy. Add the F1 style stop-light blinker and the LED tail lamps to the equation for outright motorsport focus.
Aiming for a 2020 launch, the Performance concept is powered by the signature boxer engine and a symmetrical four-wheel drivetrain. Focussed on driving enjoyment, we hope it will pump at least 300bhp of power. Because, the S208 WRX STI, a special edition Japan-only car, has also been revealed alongside with larger 19-inch wheels, added aero and 324bhp on tap.
