The fourth variant in Porsche Macan's portfolio, the Macan R4 is all set for its India launch tomorrow. The upcoming vehicle will be introduced as the most affordable option in its line-up and will be positioned below the current Macan S diesel and the Macan Turbo petrol in the country. The entry-level Macan variant will complete against the likes of Jaguar F-Pace in the country.
Porsche Macan R4 will be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine which puts out 249bhp of power and 370Nm of torque. The vehicle’s all-wheel-drive system is mated to a seven-speed PDK gearbox that allows it to sprint from 0-100kmph in just about 6.7-seconds and attain a top-speed of about 229kmph. The upcoming vehicle will come loaded with standard safety features like multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, stability control, traction control and more.
As for the design, the new model has retained its traditional design with foglamps that sit deep in the hood. The bumper gets a wide grille with foglamps that sit neatly in the lower half. The rear section comes with wide large taillamps that flow from boot lid to the sides of the vehicle.
Speaking about the interior, the Porsche Macan R4 will come with premium leather upholstery, climate control, steering wheel audio controls, Bluetooth infotainment system and much more. Much like its older siblings, the new model will also offer ample interior space and convenience features for its occupants.
