Today, Renault unveiled the new Duster range at the Auto Expo. The French manufacturer said the new Duster range comes with 32 new styling and technical features. One of major ones is the segment first six-speed automated manual transmission.
Starting with the performance and technical changes. The new T4 electrical and electronics architecture and the new CMO10 engine compartmet enhances safety. Additionally cruise control and the Easy-R automated manual transmission make the drive comfortable.
In terms of looks, the Duster gets a new face with a new grille and updated headlight clusters, new roof rails and fog lamps. It also gets new LED tail lamps and the wheels are now finished in a darker gunmetal grey colour.
The Duster gets a new centre console, soft-touch dashboard and new seat fabric material on the side. Coming to features, it gets electronically adjustable and foldable mirrors, new media navigation system, automatic ac, rear with mirror with guidelines for parking and auto up/down window controls.
Speaking at the unveil of the new Duster, Mr Sumit Sawhney, Country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India Operations said, “Duster is a perfect example of Renault’s core speciality of concept innovation, where we redefine an existing segment, offering something new to the customer. Success in the automotive space is led by clutter-breaking products that rewrite automotive trends and make customers lives better. Over the years, Duster has firmly etched Renault on India’s automotive map. With the six-speed Easy-R automated manual transmission and several technical and design enhancements, we are confident that the New Duster will lead our expansion plans in India and strengthen our position in the compact-SUV segment.”
Expect the Easy-R automated manual transmission version of the new Duster to be priced slightly higher than the outgoing models.
