The 2016 Porsche 911 has arrived in India starting with a price tag of Rs 1.42 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). The facelifted two-door sports coupe will join the Porsche Cayenne, the Macan SUVs and the Porsche Panamera along with the upcoming Porsche 718s.
The 2016 911 update gets a turbocharged engine for the first time in the history of the 911 Carrera. The 3.4-litre naturally aspirated mill has been replaced by the 3.0-litre boxer six turbocharged petrol engine which develops 370bhp of power for the 911 Carrera and 420bhp for the Carrera S. Both the Carreras will be offered only with the seven-speed PDK dual clutch automatic gearbox.
The facelift which was showcased in 2015 gives the 911 a reworked bumper, active air ducts and the futuristic four-point LED headlamps. The Porsche Active Suspension Management system will be offered standard and for Indian driving conditions, the 10mm of ride height adjustment will certainly come in handy more often than not.
