It is our pleasure to introduce you to Maserati’s new SUV concept – the Kubang, which debuted at this years’s Frankfurt Motor Show. The five-seater luxury sport SUV concept gets LED head and tail lamps and features Maserati’s trademark front fascia, with an elongated nose, the signature grille and vents on the side of each front fender.
Maserati says that new generation high-tech engines for this brand new SUV will be designed by Paolo Martinelli, head of powertrain development at Maserati. Previously he has headed the powertrain development department for 30 years at Ferrari, including being engine chief for the Ferrari F1 team. The powerplants will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The engine in question will be developed by Ferrari at Maranello.
Also, there will be performance settings for its suspension, brakes, and steering system.
