- Toyota has launched a limited edition model of the Corolla Altis sedan called Aero on the occasion of the Corolla's successful 10 year run in India. The limited edition 500 units are petrol only and priced at Rs 11.48 lakh, while the diesel option will come based on the demand.
- Audi India has launched the S4 performance sedan based on the A4 at Rs 45.31 lakh ex-showroom Maharashtra after extensive market research. The S4 is neither as nimble and striking as the M3 nor as powerful and wild as the C63 AMG, but a good balance between an everyday use car and a capable performance car for an occasional burst.
- Honda announced an MPV based on the Brio for the Indonesian market at the launch of their new factory in the country. This may become a good news for India if Honda makes this car with the much awaited D-tec engines.
- Mercedes is going to pull the plug on the SLS AMG that redefined the supercar for Mercedes like the 300SL did for it in the 1950s. The SLS fans need not worry, Mercedes will replace it with the SLS AMG GT with 20HP more, sportier suspension setup and interior trims to match the GT batch.

- Mitsubishi built a hatch for the emerging markets called the Mirage. Now they are planning Mirage Evo with a 1.5 litre 3-cylinder turbocharged engine that will generate 150BHP, truly a hot hatch. We want to ask where the Mirage is in the first place and will it ever come to India or be a mirage for the Indian buyer.
- BMW has bought copyrights for the names M7, 2 series, X2, M10 and some more. This confirms the 7 series M which we expect to be ready by end 2013. The M10 sure raises some eyebrows as nobody knows what to expect from the Bavarian manufacturer.
