The Ambassador becomes cheaper

Hindustan Motors Limited has announced price cuts on the Ambassador, thanks to the reduction of CENVAT by 4%.  HML will also reduce the prices of the Mitsubishi models, once the excise duty is reduced.

There is a price cut of between Rs 10,000 and Rs 14,500  on different Ambassador models sold. The Ambassador is available with 1.5l, 1.8l and 2.0l  engines. This car is mostly used by the taxi and government sectors. Mr. Ravi Santhanam, Managing Director HML said, "We have responded to the Government's move by passing on the benefit from the excise duty cut to our customers immediately.”
